Welcome to the Filght Instruction Information Page. Here, you'll find an overview of all Flight lessons that you'll undergo. First of all please read the regulations that follow (below).

Regulations

  1. On the Internet, you must fly using ONLY the academy's fleet of aircraft. No other aircraft accepted. You must use: For beginners-Cessna 150/152, PPL Advanced course-Cessna 172/177RG Multi-engine-Beech Baron,Cessna Citation, Beechcraft king Air, Learjet 45. Air Malta:-AirMalta Fleet
  2. NO swearing and NO rude/dirty words while chatting during flight
  3. Follow all ATC procedures given
  4. Use only the given Malta scenery. No others accepted.


Make sure you follow ALL of them. Failing to do so may expell you from the Flight school/club.

Flight lessons-Information



Now this is the content of all the flight lessons.

Introduction to flying



  1. Taxiing-Using the Cessna 150/152 you will learn how to taxi to the runway & back to the apron.
  2. Traffic Pattern-Using the Cessna 150/152 you will learn how to and perform the traffic pattern. Beginners are to perform it with their Instructor for 10 times.
  3. Flight Maneuvers-You will see, learn and perform all flight maneuvers disscussed before each flight. Maneuvers include: stalls, steep 60deg turns, climb,descend, ecc using precise control inputs.
  4. Touch-&-go's: You will perform touch & goes with the Instructor supervision & learn how to establish each one.


PPL Advanced Course (Private Pilot's License)



  1. Emergency Procedures-You will be taught how to perform each emergency procedure & with your Instructor, you'll learn how to establish each one. Emergency Procedures are dangerous & so, for the first time, you need your Instructor's supervision. Emergency Procedures include: Stall Recovery, Spin Recovery techniques, Engine Failure, Slow Flight with realistic distractions, Near-crash recovery techniques, Near Overspeed Flight, Stucked Aleirons approach (rudder only for turning), stucked elevators, Near- Collision avoidance technique, Abrupt Spin entries at slow flight, Fire, Malfunction of landing gear, roll with quick recovery techniques, roll into dive, carburetor icing, dive approach, Full stall with flaps,accelerated stalls. New maneuvers will be demonstrated by your instructor.
  2. Cross-country flight planning-In these lessons you'll learn how to plot flights by using Aeronautical Charts.
  3. Cross-country Flying-Throughout this final set of lessons, you will prepare & fly cross-country flights to European destinations. You will also start flying SOLO flights to these destinations.
  4. The Checkride:-Throughout this final exam, you'll gather all that you've learnt & demonstrate it to your Instructor. This will include:- 158hrs of flight time, Emergency Procedures, and all flight maneuvres which you've learnt throughout these courses at our Flight School. When you've passed the checkride you will be notified & will be sent a temporary Private Pilot Certificate which expires at a certain date. Your original copy will be sent afterwards. You'll be then qualified to safely operate as a Private Pilot.

    European Cross-Country Destnations



    Our Academy provides it's students with a vast variety of destinations in Europe which include the following:-Catania, Palermo, Rome, Munich (Germany), Paris (France), Tripoli.

    England



    Biggin Hill, Heathrow, Stansted, Gatwick, Coventry, Manchester,Liverpool, Silverstone, London City, Luton, Bristol.

    Miscellaneous Destinations



    Greece, Cairo, Copenhagen (Denmark), Austria, Dublin (Ireland), Glasgow (Scotland), Brussels.
