Ground School Training Information





Overview

Hi again, well this is your ground school information page. On this page you'll find all your necessary answers to your question, i.e. What does the ground school courses consist of? Ok, so here is a brief description of what are the courses.

                       
Courses (Ground School)-Basic Course

  1. What is an airplane? (Thorough lessons which describe the main parts of an airplane including it's structure).
  2. Airplanes & Systems (Lessons which drill on the aircraft engines and how it works).
  3. The Flight Environment (Once you got used to how an airplane flies and all it's components, now we'll discuss our Flight environment- i.e. The Environment in which we fly.
  4. Basic Meteorology (You'll now start learning on the atmosphere, conditions, & the weather including hazards that disrupt our normal flying situations.
  5. Final Exam (You'll conclude all that you've learnt from your first course).
                    

Courses (Ground School)-Advanced (PPL) Course

This course will lead you to your final preparations before starting to fly on FS98.

  1. Advanced Meteorology- You'll continue to discover the fundamentals of the weather.
  2. Basic Navigation- learning how to read Aeronautical charts & planning flights.
  3. Basic Radio Navigation- learning how to operate the aircraft radios.
  4. Communications-How to communicate with ATC & follow instructions given.
  5. Aviation Phsiology-learning about our body including our senses: Eyes, ears, & how do they react with flying & other subjects.
  6. Cross-country Flight planning-Learning how to prepare cross country flights & how to fly them, basic destinations.
  7. Final Exam- Concludes all ground school training, covers all subjects learnt.
